ABOUT

Known as MG Alters in the Magic community, Mitch customizes Magic cards in numerous styles, most notably color swaps and repainted full arts.  With no formal art training, he instead comes from a background in mathematics from Canisius College and was a public school math teacher for over 9 years.  His introduction to casual Magic occurred many years prior when he was in Boy Scouts and subsequently, he transitioned to more competitive play during his freshman year of college.  Shortly thereafter, Mitch discovered the world of painting Magic cards from mtgsalvation.com and a new hobby was born.  He's since spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours with a paintbrush in his hand.  All of his work on cards are with acrylic paint as are most of his paintings.  He loves working on Old School cards and trying to pay homage to the original art as much as possible.
